What Is a Doula?
A doula provides non-medical emotional, physical, and educational support before, during, and after birth.
My role is to nurture the mother, not just care for the baby.
I help you rest, recover, and feel confident as you adjust to motherhood — through compassion, care, and presence.
How I Help:
Calming emotional overwhelm
Encouraging self-care and rest
Supporting baby care routines
Creating a balanced home rhythm
Helping moms “sparkle back” through holistic healing
Meet Chanelle
I’m Chanelle Scutella, a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and Certified Postpartum Doula, with years of experience in healthcare, maternal wellness, and holistic healing.
Before nursing, I spent over 15 years in the hospitality industry, where I learned the true art of caring for people — anticipating needs, creating comfort, and nurturing others with compassion and detail. That deep understanding of service and connection continues to shape the way I support every mother and family I work with today.
I’m also a former professional athlete, which taught me the importance of discipline, rest, and recovery — lessons I now carry into postpartum care and women’s healing.
I understand how closely the body, mind, and spirit are connected in recovery, especially after birth. My approach blends:
-
Clinical knowledge from nursing
-
Physical awareness from athletics
-
Heart-centered service from hospitality
-
Spiritual and emotional care through holistic practice
I believe when mothers are cared for, nourished, and truly seen, families thrive — and healing happens from the inside out.
